A place where world-class pilots are trained

It’s a different type of a crowd, not your usual tertiary environment with varsity cliques- there is something unique about this group. It’s a school for the brave, the fearless and your dare-to-dream types.
Situated in Wonderboom in Tswhane Region 2, Loutzavia Training Academy prides itself of the leading flight school in the region, providing excellent pilot training for more than 5 years. The fact that the school was opened by husband and wife who visualised having a private flying school in Pretoria that would provide excellent service, makes the experience of the Academy special. Loutzavia students receive professional training where they are made to feel as part of a family while being trained to be the best pilots in the industry.
Although it is slightly changing, choosing a flying career is still rare among high school students in the country. Speaking to Moretele Times about why he chose the career, current student at the Academy, Mr Diamond Mubaraak, said, “flying is something I’ve been passionate about since I was a little kid. The prestige earned by pilots caught my eye, as well as the sensational feeling they experience as well as viewing the world over the clouds from the cockpit”.
Students enrolled at Loutzavia enjoy the privilege of using the world’s latest technology and being trained by top instructors who are all highly experienced. The school’s reputation speaks for itself, having been hired by respected institutes such as the Transport Education and Training Authority, the South African Civil Aviation as well as the South African Police Services Air Wing.
Matriculants and young people interested in becoming pilots are encouraged to attend Loutzavia’s Open day which will take place on the 25th of July at Wonderboom Airport at 10am.
