The City of Tshwane has today, 21 August 2015 assured consumers that a contingency plan has been put in place to ensure that the water supply interruption is minimal.

This is in view of the looming strike by employees of Rand Water. Media Relations Director at the City, Mr Lindela Mashigo, said no interruptions are anticipated at this stage as the City has filled most of its reservoirs. Furthermore, the City has its own water sources such as boreholes, water treatment plants and Magalies Water. Consumers are however requested to use water sparingly until the labour issue at Rand Water is resolved.
