Residents of Hammanskraal woke up on Saturday 26/09/25 morning to find a capsized Audi S4 on the side of the bridge between Hammanskraal station and Jubilee Mall.
Residents said the driver must have lost control and missed the curve as he drove up the bridge. The owner of the car who arrived from work while Moretele Times was on the scene, said the car was driven by his brother early hours of the morning to go and pour petrol. The six passengers who were in the car were rushed to hospital with injuries. “This accident happens while we are having a family funeral at home today,” the owner who identified himself as Billy, said. Communication Officer at Jubilee Hospital, Mr Moses Tlamama, said six patients from the accident were brought to Jubilee District Hospital after an accident they have encountered on the morning of 26 September 2015. “Four of the patients were discharged the same day due to minor injuries. “One was transferred to Dr George Mukhari Hospital due to a pelvic fractureand another one admitted with spinal injuries is also due for transfer to Dr George Mokhari Hospital,” he said. Tshwane Metro Police Spokesperson, Senior Surpritendent Isaac Mahamba, said the accident was not reported to the police as they have no record of it.
