Through his dedication, his company, Tshikovha has been nominated company of the year at the Tshwane Business Awards

His Company is one of the renowned environmental companies in Tshwane providing Environmental Impact Assessment, Waste Management Strategies, Mining Applications and Greening Strategies.  To his delight, Tshikovha Environmental and Communication Consulting, has been nominated for the Company of the Year at the Inaugural Tshwane Business Awards 2015, to be held on 28 November at the Sheraton Hotel Pretoria.

The 36 year old, Moudy Mudzielwana, is the Director and owner of Tshikovha Environmental and Communication Consulting, a company he started back in 2005 while he was an employee until in 2007 when the company gave him reason to go it alone.

This after Tshikovha was awarded a Transnet contract.
Speaking to your reporter, Mr Mudzielwana, said in Tshwane his company operates environmental studies for the agropolitan project in Rethabiseng, landfill closures and operational audits for all landfills with Tlou Integrated, sustainability housing developments at Garsfontein and Zithobeni and also provide an Integrated Waste Management Plan for the Guateng Province.
The company recently acquired mining rights for iron ore in Thabazimbi and Gold in Nigel. “The aim of the company is to create opportunities for youth with visions to assist in the dissemination of sound solutions for environmental and waste management through viable communication strategies,” he said.
The company has corporate social investment projects in collaboration with the University of Pretoria where they currently employ 23 graduate youth from formerly disadvantaged communities in environmental management internship programmes. He also sponsors soccer and old age homes.
He advised potential entrepreneurs to follow their passion in deciding to go into business. “When I started, I was qualified in my industry and I identified a gap in the market and plugged in, after that I never stopped learning” he said.
The Tshwane Business Awards (TBA’s) primary objective is to promote Small and Medium Enterprises (SME’s) as effective models of job creation, while simultaneously and robustly delivering a message across Tshwane communities.
“Many entrepreneurs go into this field not expecting a single congratulation from anyone” said Mr Carel Motsekga, the founder of the TBA’s and Chief Executive of EL-Journey. “The TBA’s seek to create a platform wherein social cohesion exists to support and promote black industrialists and innovators who are contributing largely to Tshwane’s economy, and are instrumental in developing township economies,” he said.
Businesses can nominate themselves in the categories of Accounting Firm of the Year, ICT Company of the Year, Law Firm of the Year, Woman Entrepreneur of the Year, Young Entrepreneur of the Year and the Entrepreneur of the Year.
On being nominated for the Best Company Award, Mr Mudzielwana said “we always believed that we are the best and we are happy to be recognised.
