It is only four days left to the 10th Anniversary edition of the Dockey Tladi Invitational that will held on 11 December 2015 at the Pretoria Country Club. Tee off is at 11:00 followed by a gala dinner at 18:30. A corporate hole is R10 000, four ball R500 and individuals R600.
The Dockey Tladi Invitational Charity Golf Event has been in operation for the last 9 years in Ga-Rankuwa and attracts players from Tshwane and surrounding areas. The future plans are to expand the concept to benefit the surrounding townships including Temba.
Organiser of the golf charity event, Mr Dockey Tladi, said so far the response for this year has been overwhelming. “We have managed to attract 96 players for this event, and we have extended the field to 120 players due to growing interest,” he said.
From contributions from last year’s contributions, the charity event has been able to contribute to the beneficiary, Tshedimosetso Youth Network. The men’s and ladies toilets were fitted with equipment, all door locks were changed and fixed and more than 86 kids were fed. Because of all these adjustments, Tshedimosetso finally managed to obtain a Health and Kitchen certificate.
“We would like to thank all participants for their contributions and look forward to their continued support this year as we celebrate 10 Years of the Dockey Tladi Invitational Charity Golf Event,” Mr Tladi said.
In this 10th-year anniversary event, the charity event aim to continue in its quest to assist needy charity organisations in the community of Ga-rankuwa with their day-to-day needs, and also with projects they want to undertake in the coming years.
Mr Tladi thanked the gold and silver sponsors, Business Connexion and Transnet for their continued support of this event.
