Media Director at City of Tshwane, Mr Lindela Mashego said in an effort to resolve the issues around the unavailability of single trip coupons and challenges with cash tickets on some of the buses, the management of TBS has resolved to implement the coupon system with effect from the 4th of January 2016. These single trip coupons will be available at all mentioned selling points. The coupons are a temporary measure to enable commuters to board our buses while a permanent solution of an Automated Fare Collection is sought. Coupons can be used as and when the commuter needs to use a bus.

Coupons will be available in a pack of 10 in the following denominations:

Ticket Particulars: Price per coupon Price per coupon packet
Scholar R 6 R 60
Adult (Local) R 8 R 80
Adult (Long distance) R 16 R160
Disabled / Pensioner R 6 R 60

Mr Mashigo said the bus service management apologizes for the inconvenience caused to passengers and assure them that all efforts are made to resolve all the issues and to normalize the services.
