The youth of today sometimes seat on their dreams rather than working on them. Founder of Oath11, a clothing brand that was established on the 11 April 2016, Remoratile Rantlhwatlhwa, says what kills brands is the lack of vision for brands. “Oath 11 will serve as an example to the youth of today,” said Rantlhwatlhwa.
The company was originally named Trailboy and was later changed to BYA. Mr Rantlhwatlhwa felt that the brand wouldn’t sell international so he decided to change the name to his teenage nickname, Oath11.
The 17 year old Rantlhwatlhwa works with two more people that help with designs. They are also diversifying under the same brand and have recently established a record label under the same brand name. They have not yet registered any artist but with the help of Silent Music Production, they are positive they will reach their long term goal.
“Although oath11 has been on the market for less than a year, the brand has 10 clothing designs and have released three already, with plans to release the remaining range in a few years.
Like all other budding businesses, they also need mentoring and investment in their business. They are using social media to market their business and hope to make it big in the fashion and music industry.
Mr Rantlhwatlhwa said they will not be discouraged by lack on sponsors and investment in achieving their dreams, “We believe our business plan will attract investors who will come our way soon,” he said.
