Four men were arrested yesterday in Eesterus Temba for a alleged business robbery committed in Soshanguve.
Temba Police Spokesperson, Constable Herman Moremi, said the four aged 23, 24, 25 and 26 were arrested around 17:30 after they were pulled over by police on patrol at Eesterus in Temba.
“The success of the arrest was as a result of intense police intelligence and collaboration,” said Constable Moremi.
The suspects allegedly committed the robbery in Soshanguve at Wisane Supermarket at around 13:30 and fled the scene in a car described to be a white Renault.
It is alleged that they entered the shop and one of them pointed the shop owner with a firearm and demanded cash. They took an undisclosed amount of cash, packs of washing powders, and one cell phone.
The suspects were found in possession of one firearm and ammunition and the washing powder including money.
The men will appear at Moretele Magistrate Court soon to face charges of business robbery and possession of unlicensed firearm and ammunition.
