Five suspects were arrested yesterday night following the attack of a police officer last week Monday on 23-05-2017.
Temba Police Constable Herman Moremi, said the suspects were found hiding in different places around Hammanskraal, in Mandela village, Kanana, Sekampaneng, Thabazimbi and Soshanguve.
He said they broke into a house of a Constable who was sleeping and pointed a firearm at him and his wife, tied them up and robbed him of his service pistol, two cell phones and money before they fled the scene.
With the efforts of the police, the service pistol was recovered from a 59 year old man, who said he bought it from the suspects for R2 500.
Temba Police Station Commander , Brigadier Page Dibetle, applauded the police for sending a massage to criminals that they can run but cannot hide from the police.
The suspects will appear at Moretele magistrate court on Monday facing charges of house robbery.
