The last week of Women’s Month was celebrated at Darkie’s Pub in a Denim and Whites party aimed at bringing a themed entertainment lifestyle to Temba.
Organizer, Mr Norman Mothobi, otherwise popularly known as Dj Norman, teamed up with the South African Breweries to bring an outstanding themed Denim and Whites party, where Women rocked up with their best Denims and Whites to celebrate the last weekend of their month.
Mr Mothobi said he wants to bring upmarket entertainment events to Hammanskraal, but in the same time he saw it fitting to seize this final Saturday of Women’s Month to officially put it to test.
“People from outside Temba think that we do not have class so this is a way of marketing Temba to outsiders. This is also a way of honouring our women in style to say thank you for being the pillars of strength in our lives,” Said Mr Mothobi.
The event featured four dance floor venues, a themed all white lounge with a stretched tent for ladies wearing Denim and Whites, two VIP areas, an indoor VIP and an outdoor VIP area, a dance floor stage for the crowd who were entertained by top quality local Djs.
Ms Kgaogelo Letsoalo, from Majaneng, said she likes going out in places that are well managed and not overcrowded.
“I want to thank Dj Norman for considering my interests by bringing such high classy entertainment events in our area and for honoring women with this event for the last Saturday of the women’s month.” She said.
Djs who played at the event included Lady MaEls, Lady Jlo, Palema, Juice Percussionist, Toto and Mpho Motsi.
DJ Norman thanked the people of Hammanskraal for their loyal support of his events and wishes to see them at his next event.
