
The community of Hammanskraal continues to suffer the wrath of Jubilee Hospital due to poor service delivery.
A community member from Portion 9 in Hammanskraal, Angelique Harmse, said her mother is the latest victim to get a taste of Jubilee Hospital bad treatment.
Ms Harmes said she took her mother to Jubilee Hospital with bleeding ulcers on Sunday 27th August 2017 and they arrived at 15:00 but only got attended to four hours later.

“I don’t know how to explain how angry I am, after waiting that long to be attended to, we had to wait another five hours for my mother to be admitted.
“The negligence by some of the staff members there is very disappointing including the way they handled her when they put a nose drip on her. It was just inhumane,” said Ms Harmse.
She said although some staff members were helpful, others had a bad attitude, “I had to bath my mother myself, change her bed sheets and later she was unexpectedly discharged because they said they did not have a bed for her.
“My mom did not eat for almost the rest of the week and she was scheduled for ulcer screening on Thursday 31st August which did not happen and no explanation was given.
“The next thing together with patients in her ward, they were told to go home because the hospital could not accommodate them.

“My mother is vomiting and in deep pain, they said we should bring her back on 11 September 2017 and mind you, she is in very deep pain because of the bleeding ulcers.
“She is losing weight drastically, when we took her to hospital she weighed 109 Kg and now she weights 91 Kg,” She said.
Moretele Times ran a story on 7 July 2017 about the poor health service at Jubilee Hospital, and to date, no response has been given.
The matter was then escalated to the CEO of the Hospital, Ms Damaria Magano, and then to Vuyo Sebani, the spokesperson in the office of the Gauteng Health MEC, Ms Gwen Ramokgopa, and no response has come forth to date.
