Residents of Temba and surrounding areas are informed about a planned shut-down of the Temba Water Treatment Plant on Tuesday, 14 November 2017 from 08:00 till Wednesday, 15 November 2017 at 08:00 for maintenance. This essential work will unfortunately affect the water supply to the residents in the area.
This scheduled extensive work will amongst others includes the removal of the temporal raw water bypass, Installation of a T-piece connection into the Sekampaneng discharge line and repair of the existing concrete lining of Reservoir 4 feed. The work will also include installation of a circuit breaker to power up raw water pump transformers and ore drill and install a sample puddle at the intake tower.
The areas in Tshwane Region 2 that will be affected by the interruption are Dilopye, New Eersterust, Temba, Babelegi Industries, Marokolong, Ramotse, Majaneng, Mandela Village, Sekampaneng and Hammanskraal.
The City of Tshwane has arranged roaming water tankers to supply the affected residents with water during the period of the shutdown.
