Superstar Academy wins the Under 19 Triotic Cup

The Hammanskraal Superstar Academy Under 19 has won the Triotic Cup with price money worth R10 000. The Triotic Cup started on the 17 December 2017, where Superstar opened the tournament by defeating Letlhabile United 2-0.

Their next game was against ODI Stars Academy, again Superstars won the game 1-0. At the last group of the games they played against City Rocks from Winterveldt and Superstars won the game 2-0, qualified to the quarterfinals as group winners, drew 0-0 with Lethabong Barcelona, and proceeded to win the game on Penalties 5-3.

At this game, the Superstars goalkeeper was the hero as he saved two penalties and ended as the goalkeeper of the tournament.

In the semi-finals, Superstars won the game against the Titans from GA-Rankuwa 3-2 to qualify for the finals where thy beat Letlhabile United again 1-0 to win the tournament.

Superstar Academy Coach, Shadrack Modube, said this is a big achievement for the Superstars Academy because the Academy was only launched four months ago.

“The Superstars Academy Under 15 also played at the Bolo Ya Rona Development Cup where they gave a very good performance and lost only at the final,” he said.
