Thunder Bay Spur gives back to Bethesda kids

Jubilee Mall Thunder Bay Spur held the annual fundraising event with Bethesda Christian School recently.

Bethesda along with Spur have been working together for the past five years to assist Bethesda learns to make an income for themselves and gain working experience by working at Spur. The learners paired up with Spur waiters and waitresses, take orders and get tips that goes to the school.

“The money will be used to build a school a hall, pay for the fees of some of the kids who don’t have sponsors,” said Tania Small, principal of Bethesda Christian School.

Bethesda is a Non-Profit Organisation (NPO) based in Hammanskraal that runs a a child care programme for placement of orphans with Christian families. On the day Spur also donated a jumping castle to the kids for recreation purposes.

“We are a private school catering for Grade R to Grade 7 with 230 learners,” said Ms Small.
