Jubilee Mall celebrated its seventh year birthday on 27 April 2018 with tenants this year instead of customers.
The centre manager, Ms Stephina Lebepe, said that this year the mall decided to honour tenants who are responsible for bringing customers to the mall.
The New Africa Development (NAD) launched Jubilee Mall on 27 April 2011 and since then the mall has grown from strength to strength.
“For the past six years we have been celebrating with customers and forgetting to thank the tenants who are responsible for making Jubilee Mall what it is today.
“The significance of celebrating this birthday annually is because we celebrate the success and growth of the mall,” said Ms Lebepe.
Jubilee Mall Marketing Manager, Ms Mmabatho Madisa, said the mall started with phase one without restaurants and on realizing that people traveled far to access their favorite restaurants, the landlord decided to expand.
“I can say we have grown so much with 118 tenants and we are hoping to grow even bigger,” said Ms Madisa.
The development of Jubilee Mall has been well received by the community who see the mall as an answer to their shopping problems.
One of the customers said she is grateful because she spends less money on transport because the shops are now nearer.
Hammanskraal Field Band entertained customers throughout the day in an event that was also used to celebrate Freedom Day.
