June 16 celebrated with Temba SAPS
Temba SAPS and Community Policing Forum (Cpf) celebrate June 16 in a form of Sports Against Crime event at Temba stadium today. A number of 26 teams of soccer and netball from junior to senior teams participated in this event.
The main aim of the event was to encourage community of Hammanskraal to invest in healthy leaving and to encourage youth to move away from drugs and alcohol and focus on sports. A soccer team for the grandmothers was also given a chance to participate and awarded with a new Jersey.
The winning teams received medals, a trophy and new gear. The tournament was sponsored by Unica Factory, Bakwena and I-college. Brass band and troupa entertain the visitors all day.
