A case of a 45 year old man arrested in 2013 for allegedly raping his 14 year old daughter was postponed to 17 July 2017 at the Moretele Magistrate Court in Temba on 19 July 2017.

The case was postponed  after the defense of the accused asked for postponement, requesting medical report for the accused to be available before judgement is passed.

The suspect was again denied bail and will remain behind bars where he has been since 2013 when he was arrested.

Constable Herman Moremi of Temba Saps Corporate Communications, said the man is accused of raping his 14 year old daughter after he took the child from school promising to buy her clothes at the mall and then took her somewhere where he allegedly raped her and took her back home.

“It is alleged that the accused separated with the girl’s mother and was not allowed to visit her at school. After the victim told her mother what happened, the mother reported the matter to the police and the suspect who was known as business man was arrested,” Constable Moremi said.
