Due to the ongoing service delivery protests in Hammanskraal, Jubilee Mall had to close its doors to the public on 10 and 11 July.
Service delivery protests broke out on Tuesday morning, due to the residents’ services complaint memorandum to the City of Tshwane Municipality not receiving satisfactory feedback.
The situation is being closely monitored as major roads in the area have been blocked, but no injuries have been reported.
Melanie Volschenk, Regional Marketing Manager at Jubilee Mall, said, “in order to ensure our shoppers’ safety, is it necessary to shut down the mall until further notice.”
She said Jubilee Mall’s Centre Management would like to take this opportunity to assure customers and tenants that the mall safety and security will remain a top priority.
