Detectives suspect raiding that was conducted at Makapanstad recently yielded positive results with the apprehension of three suspects aged 22,35 and 42, for possession of alleged stolen palisades.
Sergeant Tumelo Menyatso from the office of the Brits Cluster Commander North West, said according to information available at this stage, the police allegedly spotted a suspicious looking vehicle at Boiketlong section and it was stopped for investigation.
“The occupants failed to account for the palisades and the vehicle was impounded at Makapanstad police station.
“Preliminary investigations revealed that the palisades were allegedly stolen from a government project in the area,” she said.
The three suspects are due to appear before Moretele magistrates’ court on Monday, 12 November 2018 for possession of suspected stolen palisades. Investigation continues.
