Superstars Soccer Academy making progress in improving soccer in Hammanskraal

Superstars Soccer Academy hosted trials during the weekend to select soccer players with potential in the Hammanskraal area for the under 13 and senior.

The Academy was launched 09 August 2017 where trials were conducted and the best Players around Hammanskraal and surrounding areas were Selected for Under 13 to 19.

Coach Shadrack Mlambo Modube, said the Academy competed in the first tournaments as an Academy in December 2017, Under 19 Triotic Cup and Under 17 Bolo Ya Rona Tournament where they won the Triotic Cup and were Under 17 runner-ups.

The Academy affiliated at the Football Association of Pretoria for under 17 and 19 which started in February 2018 and ended in September 2018 where the Under 17 came in position four and Under 19 won the league.

The Academy played the League Cup with both divisions, the under 17 were knocked out at the Quarter-Finals and Under 19 were Crowned Champions.

After the League the Academy participated in the local Thabang Matjeni Soccer Tournament with the Under 19 again being crowned champions and qualified for the Champion of Champions Tournament.

As the youngest team in the tournament they were knocked out and earned position 16. After that again played Bolo Ya Rona Under 19 Tournament where they came out on top again as the Champion of Under 19 Bolo Ya Rona Tournament 2018.

They also have a Super League team Participating at Akasia Local Football Association.

The Academy is run by Ms Jane Mthembu and Ms Phindile Jonas as administrators and field work is done by Mr Shadrack Mlambo Modube and Tyrone Adams as Coaches.
