Gauteng Premier, Mr David Makhura, on Wednesday 06/03/2019 promised the people of Hammanskraal to prioritise them. “You are going to be my priority and I will make sure that development take place in the whole of Hammanskraal.”
He was speaking during an outreach program with his MECs to give feedback to the community of Hammanskraal on service delivery blockages and also to hand over a newly built school and clinic to Hammanskraal residents
The programme started at Kekana Garden where the premier handed over a new clinic which cost R7.2 million.
Premier Makhura said, “This clinic is one of the best in Gauteng and will create job opportunities to Kekana Gardens residents when cleaners, security and nurses are hired.”
The programme expanded to Stinkwater where the Premier and the MEC for Infrastructure Development, Mr Jacob Mamabolo and Education MEC, Panyaza Lesufi, opened the Motorola Primary.
“Education is a priority to the children of Hammanskraal and we want to see pilots, engineers and astronauts come from communities such as this.
“We are not only going to build schools in Hammanskraal, there are bigger projects coming such as building laboratories, libraries and many more,” said the Premier.
The Premier also promised to donate a keyboard to one of the leaners who showcased his keyboardist skills by playing one for him.
One of the SGB members mentioned that the learner was awarded a certificate at the provincial level for obtaining position five.
