Hanyani Social Club held a meeting in Hammanskraal Temba to discuss the role of socials in community on Sunday.
The club started in the third week of January with the agenda to empower Hammanskraal community members to save money.
The social club takes place every Sunday in Temba Drive Through. Members are required to pop out a minimum contributions fee of R50 every week to save in the club account.
Kenneth Mulaudzi (40), founder of Hanyani Social Club, said the social club helps people in whatever crisis. “The reason we started this social club is to empower community members to be independent and be able to support their children, ” said Mr Mulaudzi.
Paul Tsoka, member of Hanyani Social Club, said the club helps him connect with people and also to be able to help himself in times of crisis. “My family does not depend on my November and December salaries to buy clothing and food. The distribution of funds from the social club savings account always does that for me,” said Mr Tsoka.
