Six suspects nabbed for possession of hijacked cars

Police today arrested six suspects aged between 22 and 34 in Grootvlei for possession of suspected hijacked vehicles.

Sgt Margareth Molane of Corporate Communication at Hammanskraal SAPS, said the crime prevention unit together with the flying squad received a tip of about a alleged hijacked vehicles that were being stripped.

“Upon arrival the police found four vehicle, a BMW and a Volksvagen Polo were already stripped and two Nissan NP300 that were still in good condition with their chase numbers still intact,” she said.

The suspects are due to appear at Moretele Magistrate Court.
