Hunt still on for woman who dumped baby in Eesterus

Temba police under Family Violence Child Protection and Sexual offenses unit(FCS) are still searching for the woman who dumped a newborn baby boy at Eersterus on 19 February 2019.

Constable Herman Moremi of Corporate Communications SAPS Temba, said the police were called at the scene infront of a tuck shop at around 05:00 in the morning after a community member heard a baby crying inside a plastic. On arrival they found a baby inside a plastic refuse bag wrapped in a blanket. They immediately called an ambulance and took the baby to hospital for medical assistance.

“Police urged anyone with information about the whereabouts of the mother to come forward or any member of the family who knows about their daughter who was pregnant and never came back with the baby, to contact Warrant Officer Motaung on 0825717407 or 012 717 9000.
