The mother of 14 kids that she stays with in a shack, said she still has not received assistance to access an ID document and birth certificates for some of her kids.
The 45 years old Christina Maheso, who shares a three roomed shack with her 14 children in Phomolong area in Hammanskraal, said she lost her ID document in 2013 after giving birth to her 11th child and since then, she had money problems to apply for another ID document.
“As a result, my four children that were born after that have no birth certificates and cannot go to school,” she said.
Ms Maheso said her mother managed to help two of her children to apply for birth certificates and child support grants and also assisted with buying food and other basic needs, but that is not enough.
“We also depend on our neighbors who share their food with us sometimes but that is not sustainable.
“My wish is to find help as soon as possible so that I can be able to help myself and my children,” she pleaded.
