Makhandeni events will on 30 September celebrate it’s 25 years of grace by donating 25 000 sanitary pads to 25 schools in Hammanskraal.
Makhandeni Events (Pty) Ltd is an events management and marketing company that was founded in 2018. It is based in Hammanskraal and also work countrywide.
Mr Kefentse Mkhari, founder and director of Makhandeni events, said the 25 000 sanitary pads drive is an initiative that is necessitated by the persistent reality of African girl children being unable to afford sanitary pads, which has an adverse impact in their lives.
“Many of these children are unable to go to school when they are on their periods. We have partnered with Jubilee Mall and our aim is to raise at least 25 000 packs of sanitary pads from the 27 April 2019 until the 30th of September 2019.
“The collected pads will be distributed across 25 schools in and around Hammanskraal. Our long term vision is to have sanitary pads dispensers in our schools where girls can get Sanitary Pads whenever they need them,” said Mr Mkhari.
“This year as a country we are celebrating 25 years of democracy, and this is our way of celebrating and embracing the milestone,” he added
