While the kids were busy in the ground, the man was seen selling dagga to other kids. The police were notified and arrested the man who was found with four balls of dagga rapped in plastics and and amount of money in his pocket. The dagga was hidden inside squeeze bottle.
He will face charges of possession of dagga and will appear in court on Monday.
“It is saddening that this man would have guts to sell dagga at an event where the police and the Community Policing Forum were educating kids about the dangers of using drugs,” Constable Herman Moremi, Spokesperson of Temba Saps said.
He said the schools were participating in footbal and netball, the winners were awarded with trophies and new jersy. The main aim is to target primary schools to educate learners at young age to avoid drugs and focus to on sports.
