TUT Soshanguve ladies soccer team won 4-0 against Hammanskraal West Divas in an ABSA regional league that took place in Hammanskraal Mandela Stadium yesterday.

The TUT Soshanguve ladies soccer team scored two goals in the first half and the other two goals in the second half of the game. TUT suffered a few injuries besides their win.

Ms Vongani Shirinda, TUT Soshanguve ladies soccer coach said this win mean a lot to the team because they played against bigger teams that were better than then when they started the league.

Sipho Sithole, Coach of Hammanskraal West Divas said that their game loss helped them to identify their mistakes and weakness.

“My focus right now is to build the team and fix mistakes through training because we lost three points with this game and we need to strife to keep the status of our team in the ABSA,” said Mr Sithole.

He said the one challenge is that most of the ladies around Hammanskraal have lost interest in playing soccer and some of them who are Grade 12 learners have to attend class on Saturday making it difficult to arrange matches.
