Two Hammanskraal tennis players Tshepang Chaane and Angela Ndhlovu, received gold medals after coming out first position in the tennis tournament held in Durban from the 1st to the 4th of July.
Six players, Angela Ndhlovu, Tshepang Chaane, Alicia Makaola, Olebogeng Setlhodi, Ntlantla Nduna and R Rakgole were selected for Department of Sports bursaries at the competition.
Hammanskraal Tennis Team manager, Mr Simon Tlhatlha, the tennis team manager and a coach for the Girls Gauteng Tennis team, said he is proud of the team to have gotten their first Provincial colours and being selected for bursary /scholarships.
“It is an achievement of the highest order for myself as a team manager /coach and for our Hammanskraal tennis players.
“The Hammanskraal tennis team is excited about the achievements of the players because it will help lift the moral and spirit of the club and has the potential of attracting more players and sponsors,” he said.
