Pontsho Madumo (36) who is a football scout for Premier Soccer League under Cream Sport Management, will host the second annual soccer tournament in Hammanskraal at (Data Grond) Dertig from 31st of August to 1st of September.
Mr Madumo said the purpose of the tournament is to help skilled players to reach their full potential, explore and get more experience than they have acquired through professional leagues like ABC Motsepe, NFD and MDC.
“Through this tournament, I hope to see the boys succeed and making it in the professional soccer teams. There is no greater feeling like seeing someone achieving their goals and knowing that you were not selfish in helping them to achieve it,” said Mr Madumo.
He invited community members to be present to cheer the players on the day of the tournament.
“Everyone is welcome to be part of the tournament, we are doing this to help the young talented boys to reach their goals and dream and we can only do this by supporting each other,” he said.
Eight teams will be given an opportunity to battle against each other to win prizes for an affiliation fee of R1 250.
For first prize winners will take home R6 000, 20 Gold medals and a Cup. For the second price, the winner will get R2000 plus 20 silver medals, player of the tournament will win Chavalala Award plus R300, goalkeeper of the Tournament will win Mmako Award plus R300, leading scorer – Sentsho Holding Award plus R300, coach of the tournament – Re Saya award T-shirt plus R250.
