Man arrested with copper cables worth R10 000

Police show the copper cables found at the man's house

 

A 31 year old man was arrested at his house at Dan House Village North of Pretoria at around 10:00 yesterday morning.

Police received information while at a  road block operation ‘Okae Molao’ and immediately proceeded to a house in Dan House where they found three bags full of copper cables inside the house, “the  man was found relaxed not expecting the police,” Constable Herman Moremi of Corporate Communications SAPS Temba said.

He said the man was arrested on the spot and will face charges of possession of copper cables. The value of cable is estimated to more than R10 000.

“He will appear at Moretele magistrate Court in due course,” said Constable Moremi.
