Makapanstad SAPS in partnership with the Community Policing Forum (CPF) and the United Mathibestad Ministers Federal, held a prayer and marched against crime and substance abuse in Mathibestad on Saturday, 24 August 2019.
The idea was to lure young people away from substance abuse which is rampant in the area and primarily to bring awareness to human trafficking.
The march commenced from Nyakela-kae bus stop in Lefatlheng, and ended at Lepono Primary School sports ground where the main event was held.
Provincial Traffic Department, Moretele, Department of Home Affairs, Moretele Local Municipality, ward councilors, Mathibestad Tribal Authority are some of the additional stakeholders who graced the occasion.
