The Mayor of Moretele Local Municipality, Hon Cllr Andries Makinta Monaheng, and His Executive Committee visited projects in Moretele as part of the Mayoral Monitoring Program called #Rebona Ka Matlho. The Mayor visited the projects after his Executive meeting on the 16 September 2020.
He was accompanied by Council Speaker, Cllr Leah Skhaolela, Whip Cllr John Molefe, EXCO members, the director of Infrastructure development service, Mr Sentle Moreriane, and Senior Manager in Infrastructure development services office, Mr Pholoso Molautsi.
The team visited the Lebotloane road that is currently being constructed and divided into two the 3.6 kilometers from Little Cross to Tlholoe Village and 7.5 from Letlape to Motswatemeng. The team also visited the ward 7 road that is also under construction from Swartdam to Jericho.
Municipal spokesperson, Mr Mothupi Malebye, said the Mayor emphasized that it is important to monitor projects so that the project can be completed on time because Moretele People need service delivery and want to see it happening.
“The community of Moretele has entrusted us with the political leadership to deliver services because they trust us.
“The #Rebona Ka Matlho Monitoring program will continue until we hand over all projects planned for this financial year the community,” he said.
