Residents of Hammanskraal, who receive their water supply from the Babelegi Reservoir will be without water for seven days due to planned sealing repairs to be carried out on the leaking reservoir structure.
The shutdown will be effected from 05 until 13 October 2020.
The areas that will be affected are Babelegi, Kwalata 201-JR, Boekenhoutkloof 87-JR, Leeuwkraal 92-JR, Boschplaats 91-JR, Marokolong, Carousel View, Maubane, Carousel View Ext 1, Pienaarsrivier 83-JR, Greenside, Ramotse, Hammanskraal Ext 2, Thaba Yabatho AH, Klipdrift 90-JR, Wynandskraal 64-JR and Kudube Unit 4.
City of Tshwane Media Relations Director, Mr Lindela Mashigo, said during the interruption, roaming tankers will supply residents with water.
“Residents are urged to store enough water for household purposes and utilize it sparingly during this time,” he said.
