Due to the challenges experienced during the COVID-19 lockdown, Phala-Dinoko, a Small Medium and Micro Enterprise (SMMe) operating in the township of Hammanskraal, will cancel the atchar making workshop for this season.
“We will communicate with participants who already paid for the reservation of the workshops and refunds will be made to the participants’ accounts swiftly,” Managing Director, Mr Keletso Phala said.
He said his company is based on values of hard work, honesty and quality and strive to give quality services and products in all areas of business.
The company was started in 2013 by Mr Phala, who is committed to the economic development of historically disadvantaged communities in general.
In August 2020, the company launched a program which runs workshops on how to make atchar from raw mangoes.
“This is identified by the company as one of the programs to activate township and rural economy and also has the potential to revitalize the co-operatives sector.
“Without ignoring challenges of the lockdown as a result of COVID19, we as a company experienced challenges that made us to arrive at a decision to cancel the atchar making workshop this season.
