A Ga-Habedi man was arrested by the Bedwang Police accused of killing his girlfriend, Ms Malebo Malebe, on 10 October 2020.
A source told Moretele Times that the accused is alleged to have attacked the deceased while she was visiting him by pushing her against the wall and allegedly killing her with an axe and stick.
According to the source, an eyewitness tried to call the family of the accused for help but he was not taken seriously and by the time the accused family came to help, it was too late because the deceased had fainted from her injuries.
The deceased was rushed to the clinic where she was transferred to Jubilee Hospitals and died there.
The accused was arrested and is awaiting a court date.
The deceased was buried on 17 October 2020 at Moretele Cemetery.
