Thunder Bay Spur campaign to motivate working to fight the COVID-19 pandemic called “Platter Bust,” surprised health workers at Jubilee Hospital, Hammanskraal on the 26th January 2021 with Spur food and Spur vouchers to show appreciation for their hard work.
Thunder Bay Spur Manager, Sihle Makama (29), said the intention is to encourage and motivate health workers in their community to keep up the great work as they are their superheroes with regards to fighting the Covid-19 virus.
“This is not the first time we have shown appreciation to the nurses and doctor at Jubilee Hospital. “Thunder Bay Spur has continuously strived to ensure that we keep their spirits up by donating legendary meals to them”, he said.
Jubilee Hospital’s Chief Executive Officer, Dr Olebogeng Modise, said that he is thankful for the recognition he gets from Spur.
“Despite our efforts, we get a lot of people who complain but this is going to encourage staff members to put more effort into their work,” he said.
