Temba Police are investigating a case of inquest after a 33-year-old man from Ramotse died inside a power station at Babelegi industrial in Temba North of Pretoria on 10 October 2021 at around 09:30 in the morning.
Sergeant Herman Moremi of Temba SAPS Corporate Communication said, “it is alleged that the man broke the lock at the gate to gain entry and tried to steal copper cable inside the power station during load shading.
“It is further suspected that electricity was restored while he was busy cutting the cable and was electrocuted and died on the scene. He was found by Eskom’s standby electrician.
The deceased was identified and was residing at Ramotse village in Temba.
