The community of Temba received mobile services from Temba SAPS as part of quick response and service delivery through the Client Service Centre (CSC) mobile truck which was handed over on 29 October 2021 during the launch of Operation safer festive season at Stinkwater by the National Commissioner of Police, General Khehla Sithole.
Sergeant Herman Moremi of Corporate Communication SAPS TEMBA During the handing over of the mobile CSC truck, he was accompanied by Gauteng Provincial Commissioner, Lieutenant General Elias Mawela, and the MEC for Community Safety, Ms Faith Mazibuko. It was handed over to the Station Commander of Temba SAPS, Brigadier Johannes Tau, to be utilized and serve the community at large.
“The truck was immediately utilized where the police visit different areas on a daily basis. The truck is posted at a village per day where the community can open cases and certify copies without walking long distances to access the service,” he said.
The station Commander of Temba SAPS, Brigadier Johannes Tau, urged all residents to utilize the mobile truck and avoid queuing at the police station. He said all the services they received from the police station are the same services provided in the mobile CSC truck. He said, “the truck will be posted in all five sectors on different days and when the people see it in their area, they must know that the police station is in their area for that day and there is no need for them to travel to Temba to get services.”
At this moment all areas under the Temba SAPS precinct including North West villages will benefit and receive services equally. There will be police officers posted in that truck same as at the police station. The station Commander emphasized that the CSC mobile truck belongs to all communities of Temba, not certain specific areas. He urged the community to take care of the truck.
