Police in Temba arrested four people aged between 26 and 49 around Ramotse village, Unit D and Suurman today morning around 07:20 and 09:00.

Sergeant Herman Moremi of Corporate Communication SAPS Temba said members of the crime prevention received a tip off about a suspect who was from Pretoria on his way to Pankop who was in possession of drugs(Nyaope), and they managed to intercept the vehicle, Isuzu bakkie at Ramotse and found dugs in the vehicle.

“They followed another information about a man who is selling dagga in Unit D, and on arrival at the said house they found dagga under the bed in the bedroom. After interrogating the man, he showed them a house at Suurman village where they are also selling dagga, and all suspects were arrested in possession of drugs and dagga,” he said.

The station Commander of Temba SAPS Brigadier Johannes Tau applauded members who showed dedication by working together with the community and followed all information which leads to the arrest and recovering of drugs.

He said Temba police have dedicated members who are willing to remove drugs on the streets of Temba and it’s a matter of time for the criminals to start running because their days are numbered.

The arrested suspects will appear in the Moretele magistrate court facing charges of possession of drugs and dagga.
