The eTTP, introduced a new concept earlier this year, to equip Entrepreneurs and SMEs with skills development and support. The Future Table is an initiative in partnership with Bruichladdich aimed at creating economic inclusion through entrepreneurship with a fundamental goal of empowering small-medium businesses to scale and practice environmentally sustainable business practices.

Throughout a process of nine months, entrepreneurs were encouraged to submit their interests and green value propositions via eTTP’s digital platforms. At each bi-monthly event, three entrepreneurs pitched to a panel of industry experts and were provided feedback on how to refine their value proposition.

All nine refined value propositions were then resubmitted and were critically adjugated by independent industry leaders. After careful examination, three strong proposals were selected and short-listed for a final pitch session.

At a finale held on 11 October 2022, the Top three pitched their refined value proposition for a chance to win a cash injection of R50,000 into realising their aspirations to scale their green offering. In addition, the winning idea will be featured suitable at press outlets.

“The Final Supper sees a year-long process of working with small and growing businesses in refining a major selling point for their businesses – a scalable green value proposition. We are proud of the process and look forward to working with the winning business to create a media profile and help realise their potential for growth,” the sponsor, Bruichladdich Distillery said in a press statement.

Previous events had seen an array of entrepreneurs from and around Johannesburg, from creative entrepreneurs to science and technology start-ups. Entrepreneurs who have been through the process include; Remi Tshikororo from Tshiko Electric, Pravashen Naidoo from eWaste, Robyn Thomas from Ocacile, Jodi Deerling from The Deerling Brand, Thuli Mahlangu from Zing Design, Godiragetse Mogajane from Delivery ka Speed, Snazo Matiwane from Dimba Construction, Ayanda Magqaza from Tasksmiths, and Khosi Kumkani from RenewablesZA.
