The Glory Gogos Football Team from Majaneng Ward 76 today visited Kgosi KC Kekana to bid him farewell before they depart for Nkoankoa where they will be representing Gauteng Province in the Elderly Football International Tournament 2023 that is taking place from 26 to 29 March 2023.
Ms Violet Kekana said Kgosi Kekana is proud of the Gogos who were able to qualify for the tournament in the whole of Gauteng.
Ms Kekana said, “We are fortunate to have been selected, there are only two teams from Gauteng that will be playing at the tournament, it is the Glory Gogos and Tembisa Gogos.
“The Glory Gogos will be competing with teams from the US, France, Togo, Malawi, Zimbabwe and Lesotho amongst others. The Gory Gogos is in group A and in their first match they will be competing with Lesotho. As the tournament continues, they will be playing with the winning teams.
“We are confident that the Glory Gogos will be coming back with the trophy, and we wish them well.”
