It was a moment of celebration and pride as the boys’ team from Hammanskraal Tennis Club (HTC) Re Tshela Thupa secured a remarkable second-place finish at the highly anticipated Rising Star National Finals. The team, consisting of talented young athletes Koketso Lephotho, Jayson Maxson, Kganya Lepekola, and Bokang Phahlamohlaka, demonstrated exceptional skill and dedication throughout the tournament, earning the admiration of both fans and competitors.

Under the guidance of their esteemed coach, Tshepang Chaane, the boys of HTC showcased their prowess on the field, impressing spectators with their remarkable teamwork and strategic gameplay. Their remarkable journey to the finals was marked by impressive victories and a display of unwavering determination.

The boys’ team faced fierce competition throughout the tournament, battling it out against formidable opponents who pushed them to their limits. Despite the challenges, the HTC boys exhibited resilience and a fighting spirit, winning the hearts of their supporters with their exceptional performance.

In addition to the boys’ success, the girls’ team from HTC Gunners also achieved commendable results, securing the fifth position in the highly competitive tournament. Led by their skilled coach, Simon Tlhatlha, the team comprising Winnie Masemola, Onkagile Sefolo, Bokamoso Malapane, and Botshelo Malapane showcased their talent and determination, making HTC Gunners a force to be reckoned with.

Notably, the HTC Angels, a team of talented girls, also participated in the tournament, finishing in the eleventh position. Coached by the experienced Elsie Masemola, the team, consisting of Oarabile Sebanyoni, Buisegang Dlamini, Tshiamo Fisher, and Onalenna Noko, displayed remarkable sportsmanship and skill, leaving a lasting impression on their opponents and fans.
