The upcoming Temba Youth Career Exposition, scheduled for March 21–27, 2026, at Temba City Mall, represents more than just an event: it is a rallying cry for the Hammanskraal community to unite in shaping the future of our youth.
As the African proverb reminds us, “It takes a village to raise a child.” This wisdom highlights the vital role of collective responsibility in nurturing, guiding, and empowering our learners and young people to realize their full potential.
2026 marks the 50th anniversary of Temba City Mall, a landmark in our community’s history since its establishment in 1976. In celebration, Pathwayz Development, in partnership with Mowana Property Management (the owners of Temba City), is proud to host the first-ever community-driven career exposition of this scale.
For the first time, under one roof, the event will bring together:
- Colleges and universities
- Government departments and agencies
- Corporate organizations
- Entrepreneurship platforms
The purpose is both singular and profound: to provide learners, youth, educators, parents, guardians, and the wider community with practical information, guidance, and opportunities that can inspire and unlock pathways to study, work, and entrepreneurship.
Honoring Our Roots – Hammanskraal Homecoming Convocation Day

The week will kick off with the Hammanskraal Homecoming Convocation Day on Saturday, March 21, 2026. This historic gathering will welcome alumni who studied in Temba and the greater Hammanskraal region back to the schools that shaped them, allowing them to invest in the very institutions that laid the foundation for their success.
Our schools have produced exceptional graduates—leaders, innovators, and professionals making an impact locally and globally. However, many of these same schools continue to struggle with limited resources. How do we honor the legacy of those who sacrificed to build us into who we are today?
The Homecoming Convocation Day and Temba Youth Career Exposition present an unprecedented opportunity for alumni, leaders, and community members to give back. Contributions need not be solely financial or material; your presence, mentorship, and personal stories matter.
Sharing your journey—from the dusty streets of Hammanskraal to boardrooms, universities, industries, and international platforms—can ignite hope in today’s learners. By demonstrating that their dreams are valid and achievable, we plant the seeds for a stronger, more resilient Hammanskraal.
This is your moment—a chance to reconnect, rebuild, and reinvest in the village that raised us. Let us come together in March 2026—alumni, parents, educators, leaders, and youth—to ensure that the next generation has access to the tools, opportunities, and inspiration they need to soar even higher.
