Temba police have appealed to the public to assist in locating four people who were reported missing in separate incidents in the Temba policing area between May and July 2026.
According to Temba SAPS spokesperson Sergeant Herman Moremi, the missing persons were reported in different areas, and police are urging anyone with information to come forward.
“The Temba police appeal to anyone who knows the whereabouts of the missing persons to assist in locating them by using the Crime Stop line on 08600 10111 or the MySAPS App,” Moremi said.
Sargent Moremi also reminded the public that there is no waiting period to report a missing person.
The missing persons are:
Kgaugelo Malapile
Mr Malapile reportedly left a rehabilitation centre in Stinkwater on 14 July 2026 at around 08:00 to attend classes at the Community Uplifting Project Centre at Stinkwater Mokone Block, but never returned.
Police said he was later reportedly seen walking in Pretoria North. Anyone with information on his whereabouts may contact Mpho Morodi on 066 561 8459.
Uncle Solly Masemola, aged 40
Mr Masemola, from Rockville in Temba, was reported missing after he allegedly left home on 31 June 2026 at about 08:00 to go to the shop with a wheelbarrow and did not return.
A search was conducted, and only the wheelbarrow was found. He was last seen wearing a black jersey. Anyone with information may contact Kamogelo Emmanuel Masemola on 066 169 6553.
Thapelo Rapelong (No Picture Provided)
Rapelong, from Marokolong, was last seen on 7 June 2026 at around 15:00 when he reportedly went to withdraw money at Kopanong in Hammanskraal and did not return. Anyone who knows his whereabouts may contact Vista Komape on 064 334 2677.
Lydia Mmatlou Pitjeng, aged 49
Ms Pitjeng was last seen on 17 May 2026 at about 08:00, when she reportedly left to attend a church service in Stinkwater and has not returned. She was reported missing on Monday, 17 August 2026. Anyone with information on her whereabouts may contact Desmond Pitjeng on 073 306 7513.
Sargent Moremi urged community members to share any information that may assist the police investigation.
“Information can also be reported anonymously through Crime Stop on 08600 10111 or via the MySAPS App,” he said.
