On the 19th of May 2017, Moretele Times reported on the inhuman living conditions of Nkgono Julia Mosai from from Chris Hani Block G. Moretele Times reported that the elderly granny applied for a government house in 2008 and up to today there is no sign of her getting a proper house to call home.
Some of the Councillors commented on Moretele Times Facebook Page promising to assist and to date, Nkgono has not heard from them.
Ms Kealeboga Nkuna, who runs Sisters With Dreams Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO), saw the story of Ms Mosia in Moretele Times and decided to visit her to see for herself the living conditions.

“I must say the conditions are concerning for an adult person like her, the security is also one big concern as the shack can be easily broken into by criminals” Said Ms Nkuna.
Ms Nkuna said she is going to approach the municipal offices to try and fast track Ms Mosia’s house application and also approach business people to assist raise funds to build her a proper home.
“If we do not receive any feedback from business and government, we will have to join hands with the community to see how we can help.
“We are proud of what Moretele Times is doing because the newspaper takes the interest of the community and the indigent to heart, living their motto of being “The Pulse Of The Community”.
Ms Nkuna requested businesses both local and national to give back to the community by helping Ms Mosia as a start to addressing the plight of the elderly.
