The battle against property-related crimes gained momentum when the police in Makapanstad recovered various vehicle parts in a residential home at Winterveldt on Monday, 20 August 2018.
The recovery follows an investigation that was conducted regarding theft of motor vehicle which was allegedly committed at Dertig location, Makapanstad.
A white Nissan bakkie was stolen and a 30-year old suspect subsequently handed himself over to the police on Saturday, 18 July 2018.
Preliminary investigations indicate that some of the confiscated vehicle parts can possibly be linked with incidents of theft of motor vehicles, which were committed in Temba, Gauteng and Sun City, near Rustenburg during this month.
Investigation continues.
