A dead 21 year old woman who was found by community members at Stinkwater Mokone Block bushes early hours of Wednesday morning has still not been identified.
Constable Herman Moremi of Temba Saps Corporate Communications said it is suspected that that the woman was raped before she was killed and had injuries that indicated that a sharp object was used to hit her on her upper body.
He said it is also suspected that she was killed somewhere and later dumped at the bushes as there was no sign of bloodstains on the scene.
Constable Moremi said the police are appealing to anyone with information to contact the police on 0127179000 or 0860010111.
“If there is any community member looking for a young girl, they should please assist the police to identify the body. This can be done by visiting Temba police station in Hammanskraal and an investigating officer will accompany them to the mortuary.
“Police are investigating a case of murder at the moment and hoping to arrest the suspect very soon with the assistance from the community,” Constable Moremi said.
