Hammanskraal music band, Dee Uneet, team up with DJ Mlungu for new single

The duo from Hamanskraal, Thato Tiane and Tlhalefo Mashishi have teamed up with DJ Mlungu, famous from SABC 1 shows to release a new single titled ‘Imali’.

Thato, also kow as 16 June and Tlhalefo pupolaryly known as Jaymas both hail from Hamanskraal and are gifted musicians who have come a long way in establishing their music careers.
Thato started his music career by listenign to kwaito artisst like Cheese Kop, TKzee and Bongo Maffin. He later got inspiered by tweestyle and started witing hip hop music mixed with a bit of kwaito elements. Tlhalefo on the other hand, was inspired by his late uncle who used to play 2Pac music on a daily basis. This inpired Tlhalefo to wirte his own lines. The two met 10 years ago at a local community radio station in Hamanskraal where they were both attending freestyly sessions.
Thato released his first mixtape in 2009 and was able to sell 5000 copies through hand to hand street market strategy. He was then reported by the press as the best street artist with no record deal to sell so many copies. He has recorded songs and videos that feature artist from as far as Botswana, Klerksdorp and Mamelodi.
Tlhalefo is a gifted freestyle rapper who has done songs with artists such as Blacklez and Lection. He is well known at the Pretoria State Theater as a freestyle rapper and is associated with the crew Blood Spillaz, a group that was the first to have a hype mag add on TV.
That the two have now come together to form the music group, Dee Uneet, is a great step in their music careers. That they were able to team up with famous DJs such as DJ Mlungu for their new single and video, means they have made their mark and have now entered the mainstream entertainment industry, putting Hammanskraal on the map.
