Moretele Times readers could be wondering about the cooler temperature experienced in the Gauteng and other parts of the country.
The cooler temperatures are as a result of the snow fall in the Eastern Cape. The South African Weather Service said this comes as extremely hot temperatures have hit some parts of the country in recent weeks. “The snowfall could offer some relief to residents who’ve been baking in temperatures in the high 30s for several days,” the Weather Bureau said in a statement. The cooling that comes off from the southern areas is affecting the entire country. The maximum temperatures across the Gauteng province are expected to drop even lower. The high areas up to Limpopo will also experience cooler temperatures.
